Ranking the Dorms at Seattle University

It’s 3 stories, pretty sure it used to be an old medical school or something similar as the rooms have the lab class style floors and smell like a hospital. There’s only 2 elevators that aren’t in the best shape. One side of the building faces the track and field which is a decent view. There are a few study rooms but they usually are full. You get a private bathroom and shower to share with your roommates compared to other dorms. However these once again are not modern by any measure. The overall dorm size is larger compared to other dorms but I wouldn’t recommend it as it lacks a lot of modernity and cleanliness, especially considering it’s more expensive - 1 year ago

these dorms are very old and have had lots of matinence issues in my time here. my radiator has not worked ever, despite submitting multiple work orders. the bathrooms are gross and theres a bunch of hair stuck in the shower drains that never seems to be cleaned out. - 1 year ago

Lived in an efficient triple my first year. Space was quite cramped but you get used to it and adapt after awhile. Loved how there was a kitchen and lounge on each floor. Study area/rooms on the top most floor (12th) is pretty great and also has a computer room. Laundry and music room in basement as well as the on campus convenient store. Biggest freshman dorm on campus so more people to have interaction with, if you choose to do so. The most farthest dorm for classes but wasn't too bad as it takes about 10 minutes or a little less than that to get to the opposite side of campus. - 4 years ago

Rooms are single rooms so you get your own space and bathroom with shared kitchens. Problem is that the building itself needs a lot of work as it was built really quickly. However, its a good option if you want your own space away from the usual dorms. It's a fun little community and is still in a convenient area as it is only one block from campus. - 4 years ago

Bellarmine Hall is the most central building on campus. It’s easy to get to class and close to the dining hall (Cherry Street). The bathrooms are newer so it’s cleaner and has a lot of space. Room size will vary. Doubles are perfect size but triples are considered to be “efficient triples” so it’ll feel a bit cramped at first. Overall, I liked the convenience being close to everything. Laundry is in the basement and packages can be picked up at the lobby desk. - 4 years ago

Loved living here! I stayed in a triple and I loved it. You get a private bathroom, a full kitchen, and a decent common/living area with all your desks. Way bigger than a triple in Bellarmine Hall or Campion. You are close to the soccer field and Campion Hall (has the Cave for food) and really close to the Bistro and Cherry Street. Different buildings so in order to do laundry, you have to living in Hopkins building. There is a mailroom to pick up mail and packages. - 4 years ago
