"Spacious rooms and a quiet atmosphere. These rooms would be the best on campus... if they were on the main campus. Living on the Vern, especially as someone who wants to go to a real gym, is painful. If you want to shower and change at home, have fun adding an hour of travel time to your day. Also, you'll hate vexes on the weekends. Sometimes they don't show up or only speed through without picking up anyone for no reason."

"Hensely hall is a close community but being on the Mount Vernon campus makes it far away from everything. It also is one of the smallest dorms holding only 30 people. The basement is very fun "

"Balcony room is very nice with a view towards the west. AC is functioning properly and having your own bathroom is always a plus. There is one lounge in the building located in the basement along with the laundry room. The lounge isn't that great but it does have a TV and a couple couches, too many mosquitos. The one real downside to the rooms are the paper thin windows and walls. You can hear pretty much everything including the sirens throughout the night. The location isn't too bad, everything on campus is a walking distance and you shouldn't have any problems with that. There are some homeless at night across the street and down the street but the location feels pretty safe overall."

"west is an amazing dorm, it would be a 5/5 but it’s on the vern and climbing the hill to get to the vex stop is a pain. but other than that, there’s a gym, dining hall, and mail room here which is amazing. the rooms are also good, it’s suite style with 4 rooms a living space, a mini kitchenette (but no sink that also really sucks), bathroom, and a living room. the individual rooms are kinda small but having your own room is amazing. "The location is great and the building is new, but thats about all the praise I have for this dorm. Don't live here unless you like living in a shoebox with your roommate. "

"Rooms are a little small but the location of the building makes it worth it. One major downside is that it gets REALLY hot in the winter. "

"The rooms in Shenkman are pretty consistent with size and amenities, all quads look the same. The bedrooms can be pretty small but kitchen and living rooms are big. Bathrooms are good although storage differs in each room and there is always issues with the water. They have shut off the water to fix the systems about 6 times this semester which kind of sucks. Also, the new dining hall has made the fire alarm go off more than it has in years past. "

"Pros: Super close to Metro, easy access to Whole Foods. Relatively insect free, Spacious and Open rooms Cons: Rooms can get dusty, always repairs going on somewhere, janky elevators"

"Honestly one of the best freshman dorm options at GW. You get a fairly big room and you either share a bathroom with the people next door (4 people to a bathroom) or you’re lucky and you don’t have suitemates. The location is also unbeatable because you’re right next to carvings, thurston, JJ, and a bunch of other freshman dorms/dining hall. "

"Very nice and modern place to live with very close proximity to the national mall, starbucks, 7/11, CVS. One downside is that it is on the outskirts of campus getting to class was always ~10 minute walk. "
