Is Schuhmacher Hall the best dorm at Texas A&M?
Students rated Schuhmacher Hall a 3/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.
Lived here my second semester freshman year (spring 2021) after moving out of my old dorm. I lived in a single unit, so I had plenty of space for all of my stuff. I was aware, moving in, that this was one of the oldest dorms on campus, so I wasn’t too surprised to find that some ceiling tiles were missing, or some paint chipping off the walls; the plus side was it was one of the cheapest single dorms on campus. Bathroom wasn’t nasty. I shared it with a suitemate, who also lived in a single room. I never saw this man let alone talked to him. Till this day, I have no idea who I shared a bathroom with for 6 months. LMAO. If you live in this hall, BE PREPARED TO WEAR SOCKS OR A JACKET INSIDE THE ENTIRE SEMESTER. One of the worst parts of living here was the lack of a thermostat for each room. Instead, the temperature is set for the entire building by an a/c that would run non-stop. It was blowing out cold air in the middle of January.
