Green Quad
based on 1 review
"For a freshman apartment style dorm, I loved living there! The rooms are small with minimal storage, but the personal closets make up for it. I loved the layout of my room and having my own space was a must my freshman year. I shared a bathroom with one other girl and it worked perfectly with no issues. The living room is fairly small, but big enough for the 4 people that can live in the apartment.
As far as location goes, it is at the bottom of a hill and on outskirts of campus closer to the engineering school. So it is a bit of a hike to get anywhere on campus such as Russell House or especially Close Hipp or Capstone. Once I figured out the shuttle system I was able to make it to my 8:30 AM class in Gambrell without having to hike to class.
Overall, for anyone wanting their own room with a shared bathroom I highly recommend Green Quad. It's a great freshman dorm, however if you are looking to make friends with the people on your floor and not just your roommates it is probably not the best dorm for you as everyone sticks to themselves and their roommates." - 2 years ago1 student reviewers said they lived in Green Quad during their freshman year

Columbia Hall
based on 1 review
"I loved my experience living here. It's an old dorm so the rooms and amenities aren't as nice but I'd live there ten times over. I am a senior and met all of my friends there freshman year and am still friends with them today. By far the most social dorm along with Capstone. Bring a door prop and you'll make friends fast!" - 1 year ago

Bates West
based on 1 review
"I love that Bates West is apartment style. It is a really nice layout for a freshman dorm, and having the full sized fridge, an oven, and a couch in the dorm is amazing. The toilet sometimes doesn't flush but it usually just takes a few minutes and then it works; that's probably the most annoying thing about the dorm. The building itself is super old and the laundry room is gross. Overall I'm glad that I live in Bates West for freshman year." - 1 year ago

Honors Residence
based on 2 reviews
"Living in the Honors Residence Hall as a freshman was a great decision! The location is unbeatable: it's a 5 minute walk to Darla, 7 minute walk to the Horseshoe, and a 12 minute walk to Gambrell. Having a dining hall and a coffee shop in the bottom of the building is also very convenient if you need a quick bite before class. The rooms and bathrooms are decent and upkept. Honestly no complaints." - 1 year ago

Capstone
based on 5 reviews
"Capstone definitely has a good community aspect as it is habitually a very social dorm. The building itself is on the older side and the elevators can be a pain since there are usually only two working at a time. The room itself is fairly spacious if you know how to organize it and the bathroom isn’t awful if you have good suitmates however you do need to put effort into cleaning it. The water pressure is not great and the don’t expect any very hot showers. It’s a great freshman dorm and I wouldn’t change my decision it just has the usual downfalls." - 1 year ago
