Main House

"I lived on the 4th central floor of Main and it was great. They are renovating each floor over the summer and this past summer they just did 4th cent. As a result, I got to live in a new room with all the new furniture. My room faced the library and Main Drive and, in my opinion, it was the best view! On top of that, you get pretty awesome sunsets and golden-hour lighting! I loved my room so much! The bathrooms were also renovated so everything was new and up to date. It does get pretty messy in the bathroom but that is the reality of living in a gender natural dorm. With that being said, the cleaning staff does clean the bathroom every day except on weekends (usually when the bathroom gets the messiest). I have been living in Main since I started college and I still find it to be the best dorm on campus due to its location and versatility as a dorm building and event space. A lot of the main academic offices are in Main (class registration office, deans offices, career development office, etc...) and you can get food and your mail from the Main College Center which is right downstairs (so you do not need to leave the building to get your mail!) As mentioned a lot of events happen in Main as it is a big central hub and the space to hold these events is better. Overall I really like my room this year. Just a note Main 5th floor (including the wings and the central floor), 4th floor cent. and 3rd floor cent. are all renovated floors. " - 11 months ago

Davison House (Davie)
based on 1 review
"I have currently finished my 1st semester at the Davison House. Based on my observations and personal experiences here are some of the pros and cons I can say about Davie:
Pros
- Recent Renovations: The facilities have recently been renovated with energy-efficient systems and modern common spaces
- Spacious Rooms: Although I have a relatively smaller dorm than others living in Davie, I've seen other peoples rooms and they boast a larger space compared to your average dorm rooms at Vassar
Cons:
- Location: Be prepared to walk farther for the primary places like the Deece, Main Building, or other classroom environments
- High Demand: Since Davie has been recently renovated, Davie has a competitive placement process so it will be difficult to be placed there." - 1 month agoWe collected 1 dorm reviews for Davison House (Davie)
