University of Pennsylvania Dorms Ranked

Ranking the best sophomore dorms at University of Pennsylvania, according to students.

  • Number 6

    Kings Court English House

    based on 3 reviews

"KCECH tends to fly under the radar of the other freshman dorms but I think it's underrated! Although it's probably quieter than the Quad, the community is really tight-knit. Best dining hall and great location for anyone in engineering. There aren't as many amenities as Hill or NCH but it has everything you need. Rooms are much larger than Hill and English House rooms also have sinks in them which is a huge plus!" - 3 years ago

    Harrison College House

    based on 2 reviews

"The space is really nice and it was very convenient to have a full kitchen and bathroom. If you live on lower floors (8 or below), you may have pests/get side-eyed if you try to take the elevators during peak hours. If you live on higher floors (15+), the elevators will take forever, especially during peak hours and you'll be too high up to take the stairs. The elevators break frequently and there were some mold issues, but it was a great community where you can be surrounded by hundreds of students living around high rise field." - 2 years ago

    Harnwell

    based on 1 review

"Laundry is on even floors. Try to live on higher floors if you want a less pests/bugs. Elevators are always a big hassle so you have to add an extra 5 minutes to your commute to classes and clubs. Great place to live since most upperclassmen are on that side of campus." - 4 years ago

  • Number 3

    Gutmann College House

    based on 2 reviews

"Building itself was built in 2021, so all of the rooms and hallways are beautiful. However, the rooms are a bit small and there is no ventilation in the bathrooms (literally against housing code). It's also a far walk to class but you have very convenient access to Quaker Kitchen. Laundry is on the second floor so it can be a trip, and there's only one entry/exit (for security reasons) so if you live on the other "wing," it can take a while to get there. Package room is convenient and the small fitness/yoga studios are nice. Huge TVs and study spaces on each floor along with full kitchens, a pool table, foosball, couches, and more. Front desk staff is super friendly too." - 2 years ago

    Hill College House

    based on 2 reviews

"Hill is the place to be if u want a very social experience at college. It's so easy to meet new people wherever u go, lots of central spaces for socializing/studying. the rooms are a little small but college is all about the people u meet and who u spend time w and hill is the perfect way to find that community.
