Temple University Dorms Ranked
Ranking the best sophomore dorms at Temple University, according to students.
Number 3
The Edge Student Village
based on 1 review
"Based on the given criteria, it seems that the experience of living in this apartment complex has been less than ideal. Dealing with fruit flies and mice can be both frustrating and unsanitary, and it is concerning that these issues were ongoing problems. The presence of multiple managers over a four-year period may indicate a lack of stability and consistency in management, which could contribute to problems such as pest infestations.
The location of the apartment complex in a ghetto part of the city is also a cause for concern. Residents may not feel safe or comfortable in the area, which could negatively impact their overall experience. Additionally, the smell of marijuana throughout the halls could be bothersome for some individuals, particularly those who are sensitive to the scent.
While cheap rent may be attractive to some, it appears that the poor quality of furniture is not worth the savings. The noise from neighbors can also be disruptive, which can be particularly frustrating for those who value peace and quiet.
Overall, it seems that this apartment complex may not be the best option for individuals who are looking for a comfortable and hassle-free living experience. The issues with pests, management, location, and noise may outweigh any benefits of the cheap rent." - 2 years agoWe collected 1 dorm reviews for The Edge Student Village

"Every dorm in this building is 2 rooms with 2 beds each, connected by a bathroom/shower. One of the newer/nicer buildings (in 2008)." - 4 years ago

1300 Residence Hall

"I am a sophomore and I have been living in 1300 for the past two years, and I’ll probably keep living here until I graduate. On each floor of the dorm there’s a pool table, TV, and a study lounge. The rooms are a decent size, and your living experience depends on who your roommate is, so pick wisely. The security guards at the front desk are really nice, and it’s always fun when you get an email from the mailing room when your packages has arrived. Honestly an overall great dorm, it’s right by the grocery store, and the subway station so you can go into Center City. The only downside is the location because it’s not in the best part of Philly. Shootings happen, so you just have to be aware when and where you’re walking. I’m a girl and I can say that I’ve walked back late at night a good amount of times, and I’ve felt pretty safe. The key is to always be aware of your surroundings, and police presence is high and is continuously increasing each semester. 1300 is one of the best dorms on campus, and it’s for honors students so there are some great perks." - 1 month ago
