"The vistas is at the top of the hill and right next to the gym. Most sophomores live here and you overlook the football field so you can watch games from the benches at the parking area. Quads are broken up into a main living area with a kitchen and then two doubles with their own bathrooms and showers. So four people live in 1 dorm but it’s 2 people per actual bedroom. Tram pickup is right outside the dorms so no need to walk far and it’s very pretty in the morning because you get to see the sunrise over the campus. Laundry is on the ground floor of 2 of the buildings but it’s a short walk if your floor doesn’t have laundry in the building so no worries. A lot of people set up their hammocks outside the buildings on the trees which is nice and it’s normally very quiet and peaceful outside the vistas so it’s a great place to study outside. As a sophomore you have the option to make a neighborhood in which 8 people live right next to each other, so 4 friends in one dorm and 4 in the dorm right next to that. Definitely recommend!"

"Most people get a triple or quad but I was lucky enough to get a double. There are 3 floors and 2 doubles on each floor. The first floor have classrooms, the basement has more classrooms, tech help and an entrance to Aromas. Most times they make half the floor girls only and the other have guys only for all 3 floors (ex: right side guys left side girls). There is a balcony that overlooks all of SD and you can see the ocean! Bathrooms are private and Maher is in the center of all the academic buildings. Multiple washing machines and dryers at the end of the hall outdoors. Right across the street is the mail center and the top floor has a study room with white boards etc. The first few mornings you will hear the church bells (loudly since Maher is right next to the church) but you will get used to it. Great choice for freshman."
