"Wheeler itself is nothing too fantastic, but the community was amazing! When I lived there, it was 3 to a room, or 4 for a lower rate. I lived with two roommates and it was more than enough space. I had a hard time with storage but I have wayyy more stuff than an average college student. You have twin sized bunkbeds, I recommend the top bunk if you're tall (you might hit your head on the bottom bunk). I recommend putting fans in both windows in the summer since there's no A/C. The towers is a great community, most RA's are pretty chill. I got involved with hall council and it was a ton of fun. The RFOC is the best dining hall on campus(in my opinion) and it's inside the building so you don't have to walk anywhere in the winter! There are also lounges all over the towers. You have a kitchenette on each floor with a microwave and sink, but if you want an oven or anything else you have to go to the basement. Definitely a great community to make friends and is a wonderful first year spot! Its located closest to Anspach and Pearce halls so if you have English, math, or foreign language classes like most first years you will be in the perfect spot! It is kind of a far walk for business and health classes but totally worth it, plus a far walk for CMU is only like 20 minutes."

"I lived in Carey the first year after it got renovated. You have to share a room but only with one room mate and you get full sized beds. No A/C, but putting fans in both windows made it comfortable in the summer. The updated floors and paint is really nice, but they did take out a lot of storage and the big mirror by the door the rest of Towers have. They did minimal upgrades, but its worth the upcharge to have one roommate and a full sized bed. The towers is a great community and the RFOC is the best dining hall on campus! Each floor has a kitchenette w/ a microwave and sink but you have to go to the basement for an actual kitchen and laundry. Towers is located by Pearce and Anspach so its best if you're an English/math/foreign language student. Long walk for business and med students, but still totally worth it! :)"

"Herrig Hall is a pretty solid dorm. The location is probably one of the best on campus. All the educational buildings are somewhat close, besides Grawn and Health Professions. You're also a super short walk away from the SAC and all of the athletic events, so if you like sports and attend a lot of games this dorm is perfect for that. Herrig also is in the East Community which has the best and biggest dining hall on campus. Overall it's a super solid dorm and has a really good community. "

"Had one room mate I shared a room with that was connected to a living room that was connected to another room where my other two suite mates had a room. Lived on the 3rd floor. Great building overall if has a dining hall, gym, and market. Pretty good location on the east side of campus."
