"The building is in midtown Manhattan on the corner of Lexington and 51st. It's an old hotel converted into a dorm building for students. The residents consist of students from Baruch, Hunter, and LIM which are separated by floor. Each school gets a certain amount of floors. For example, Baruch is floors 3-5 while Hunter is on floor 6. There are also rooms available for rent that are open to non-students so expect to see some middle-aged people as well. The location is perfect as the commute to school is not too far and there is tons of food around the area. There's a duane reade across the street that's open 24 hours which is very convenient. Every room comes with a bathroom and if you get the deluxe room, it comes with a kitchenette as well. I got a standard double so it came with just the bathroom but if I wanted to cook, there is a communal kitchen downstairs. There's also a mezzanine which has 3 separate areas that you can study and do work at. There's an app called Tulu that you can download which lets you buy food or rent scooters, vacuums, VR sets, games, etc. The lobby has a lounge area where you can play pool any time of the day. Overall, my experience here was good and I made some good memories. The only cons I had were with the shower as we had issues with the drain where water would fill up while we showered instead of draining. However, it's something you can call maintenance to fix and it's not a huge issue. "
