"Living here was overall a good experience. Pros: A 5 to 8-minute walk to the University Center, a 24-hour open grocery market directly across the street, and many restaurants, cafes, Hmart, and St. Marks Street are nearby. The area is pretty safe on the busy corner of 3rd Ave and 12th Street. The basement has a spacious lounge area with desks and quiet rooms to work in. There are also two soundproofed piano rooms. Next to the lounge area is the laundry room, and its price per wash and dry is cheap. The mailroom is on the first floor and there is a security guard with a camera at the front desk 24/7. Cons: The building is older than other dorms, so cockroaches and mice may come out occasionally. The ventilation is not the best, so opening the windows to allow fresh air is recommended. The area around is quite busy most of the time, so it's hard to find a time when there is no traffic noise. Overall, great location, but a bit on the older side. " - 1 year ago

"The dorm is very average but the main pro of this dorm is the location since it is right above the uc building. This is very convenient to get to classes." - 2 years ago
