A terrible experience to say the least! Damn Ac in the building been shut off half the year. Don't even get me started on the elevators, they barely work. Only one works at a time. The communal bathrooms as well are very disgusting.
There aren't a lot of options for NIU that keep you close to campus and out of Stevenson, New Hall, and Grant, D Tower wins out. The rooms were the most recently updated when I lived there. Additionally, there isn't a dining hall in the building. It sucks if you eat a lot and don't want to go outside, but not having a lot of foot traffic makes Grant a quiet area. Overall it has room for improvement, but it's a nice building in comparison.
Grant Towers is a very up to date dorm. The room are decently sized and the bathrooms are kept pretty clean. The down sides of living here us that there is no dining hall within the dorms, and it is one of the furthest dorms from campus.
