I personally had a private dorm during my sophomore year and I enjoyed the privacy. However, the building is quite old and in need of some updates. There is a big lounge room on the second floor that is not kept up or taken care of, and so when people use the bathroom in there, it smells awful for awhile. The washer/dryers are also need of updates, especially the dryers, because you’ll have to dry your clothes for an additional 2-4 cycles just to have your clothes completely dry. My room was for RA’s, and so we both had our own room, closet, & private bathroom. There is a shared living area/space and a kitchenette. The view from my dorm was great!
