"The room itself is a decent size. The bathroom is also nice, but the water quality is bad. The carpet has 50 years of dirt in it so I used a carpet cleaner on my side of the room. There’s 1 common room per floor and it’s a stuffy shoebox used for sex. The lack of AC/heating is a human rights violation. Housing staff all suck. Hallways are also co-ed, which would’ve affected my decision if I knew that before. "

"Whitetop consists of only suites, so you’re sharing a single or double room with max three other people. It can get pretty crammed so if you prefer more space sign up for an apartment in Rodgers (dorm right in front of whitetop). You’ll be sharing two sinks and very small shower/br with your suite mates. There are multiple common and study rooms on each floor as well as a kitchenette. Location is nice and secluded but that means LOTS of walking to get around campus, but it’s a two minute walk to the gym and has parking right in front of the dorm (you have to buy a parking pass). Not a bad dorm to live in!"

"One of the newer dorms with 3 kitchens/lounges on each floor. A little further away from main campus, but not a hike."

"Really nice place to live! Decent (>10-15 mins) walk to any classes, as it is located over by the RAC. Odd feeling at first living in a hotel, but once you get used to it it's a sweet deal; the Globe dining hall on the first floor is awesome, the food there was always excellent but be warned that they ran out frequently and you may need to wait for them to restock. Also, the Globe's hours aren't great, if you want to eat a late dinner you'll have to order a robot or walk ~15 mins. to the JC / Southside. Also the "kitchen" only has a microwave and sink."

"Good location - one stop is on the ground floor. Pretty central location and close to most buildings on campus. Only downside is the mold."

"Not bad dorms but really basic and shared bathroom for the whole floor. Overall not worth the money but Fairfax is very expensive."

"Good location (close to Southside, Skyline gym and Fenwick library) and also has a water fountain on the ground floor. The elevator is very slow and the building itself is kind of musty/moldy."

"Probably the best freshmen form you can get. Highly recommend try getting a spot here since it can be hard to get if you’re not in the honors college or in sports"

"Tidewater hall is a great sized dorm located less than a minute’s walk from Fenwick library and Southside Dining. It’s clean, has good lighting and good sized dorms. The common living areas and study areas within the hall are really great too. It does not have a water fountain on every floor though."

"Piedmont is one of the newer dorms, so it is definitely going to be nicer and more updated than the dorms in presidents park. It is very spacious, and there is a lot of room to move around in even if you are in a double like I am. I live in a suite double, so my roommate and I have to share a bathroom with our suite mates, but even with having to share we still have out own sink and the bathroom is spacious and gives us privacy.
