"AVOID. Oneida is a Freshman dorm, so if you can AVOID at all costs. There was period blood in the bathroom ALL the time, makeup or something on the mirrors, maggots in the showers (so yeah, a lot of flies), vomit in the sinks, generally dirty showers and tubs (that get clogged easily), etc. Oneida is the WORST building on campus because freshmen are generally terrible with living and it hasn't been renovated in like 60+ years I think. If you plan on living with a roommate, other CIW buildings are nicer and CIW has the largest dorm rooms for the best price. If you end up in Oneida as a freshman, good luck I guess? Plan on going into a friend's suite to shower or going into another building. Good luck."

"Awful location, awful dining hall, everyone comes here to smoke and there are fire drills almost every day. "

Hinman
Rated 3 / 5 stars by 2 Binghamton University - SUNY students
"The oldest dorms at BU but has been renovated in 2022. Brand new cafeteria, lounges, and the only Starbucks on campus. It’s also closest to lecture hall so you are 5 minutes away from 90% of the classes and libraries. A lot of people prefer the newer dorms like Dickinson but there’s a homey feel to Hinman because of the common area couches. It’s easier to make college campus living memories and friendships here. There’s a reason many people stay for another year once they try it."

"Lived here my freshman and sophomore year! It was a great time and the sunsets were really beautiful in the open area. Make use of the hammocks on the lawn and know when to relax and play :)"

O'Connor
Rated 4.4 / 5 stars by 3 Binghamton University - SUNY students
"If you want to live in a hotel-style building, O'Connor and Dickinson is for you. Everybody is very secluded, but you can get to know people if you put an effort into going out to the events and meeting other fellow hallmates. For a flat, the rooms are decently sized to fit 2 people and the bathrooms are cleaned weekly. The cleanliness of the place is based on how clean you guys keep it. The people only clean the bathroom once a week. C4 is also right down the stairs from O'Connor too. "

"There is a lot of space no matter what type of room you get. If you live in a suite with two doubles, and a single- there is a decent sized common room with a sink, and where you can even place a fridge or shoe racks. However, it’s not really a space to hang out with friends, but a nice space to walk in and out. There are two bathrooms in every suite, and bathrooms get cleaned weekly. The Digman building is also a part of the Dickinson Community, the most recently renovated dorms. Also, the Digman building is closest to the Union, and Lecture Hall. This location makes it easiest to maneuver around campus because of how close it is to places. Additionally, I know the doubles and triples offered here are super nice, even though it may be smaller than a suite sized double and the sharing of a small space. There are closed 3 study lounges as well on each floor which is very convenient if you want to get out of you dorm or study as well. The only con to the Digman building is that the entire Dickinson community is very closed off with one another. For example, because of the well spacing between dorms, people often keep to themselves, and it’s harder to get to know others compared to other housing communities like Hinman, and College In The Woods. The price for a Dickinson Digman dorm is also the highest compared to all dorms; I believe $200 more per semester compared to other places. "
