Is Self Hall the best dorm at University Of Kansas?
Students rated Self Hall a 4.6/5 stars. Here's what they had to say.
I had a really positive experience living in Self Hall. I stayed in a 2 person room. A huge benefit of living in this dorm was that each room had its own bathroom, so there were no communal bathrooms. The ceilings were also 10 ft. high which made the room feel much bigger than it actually was. Outside of the dorms there were multiple study rooms/ areas on each floor with a common living space where the hallways intersected. Self Hall is connected to another dorm called Oswald Hall. In this connecting area there is access to more study rooms and free printing to students. One con about the dorm is that it is about a 15-20 minute walk to the main part of campus (This is the case for the majority of the dorms). However, there are buses that circulate campus during the day which can make it easier to get around. Overall, I really enjoyed my time living in Self Hall.
Self is new, clean, and in a great location. As an engineering student, it was great to live in a dorm with other engineers and live walking distance from the engineering complex. It is very nice to have bathrooms in your dorm room as well.
