Best UH Manoa dorms

"Rooms are decently sized and large wardrobe for closet space. Only two bathrooms per floor but they are private, not communal, so they stay pretty clean. Kitchen and rec space on the top floors but nothing fancy.
Mokihana was pretty quiet compared to other halls (Lehua, Lokelani). Plagued by fire alarms and elevators were out of service once in a while.
Dorm caf (Hale Aloha) right under Mokihana and another (Gateway) about 5 minutes walking. Convenience store/market that accepts meal plan points is also near.
Similar to the other university student housing Mokihana is a bit far from main campus ~10 minutes to engineering, ~20 to campus center, or ~30 to Shidler buildings by walking. Shuttle bus also comes about every 30 minutes." - 2 years ago

"Hale Wainani is the most underrated dorms at UH Mānoa. Hale Wainani has 4 building; 2 high rise buildings with 15 floors and a low rise building with 3 floors. The high rise is way better than the low rise. But low rise buildings offers co-ed living so if you wanna live with friends, this would be perfect. The low rise apartment has a loft style layout if your on the 2nd or 3rd floor. This dorm is an apartment style with two rooms (each room is shared with a roommate), your own bathroom, kitchen and living room. The room is very spacious and has a big window. The best part of this dorm is the view that you get. Currently, my room has the view of Diamond head and during sunset is the best with its scenic view. The dorm is located by the lower campus and can be far if you have a class on the other side of the campus but it’s not too bad. There’s also a shuttle service that comes every 30min to take you on campus. I honestly love living here because the people that lives here are chill and mature. " - 2 weeks ago

"This is great communal building, where you get to live with people from all around the world. Kitchens are a holy place, where you get to share and have meals from different cousins, have deep and simple conversations with students from Middle and South East, Europe, Pacific Islands, North and south Americas. It is a 12 floor building, relatively cheap rent, with great facility management (always clean)." - 1 year ago
