"Henderson House was relatively nice for my first year compared to other housing options at CMU. If you are looking for a high quality of life, Henderson is quite good since the bathrooms are generous in size and the closet space is bigger compared to Stever. If you are lucky like me, you can even get a corner room where the bathroom is shared between only 2 ppl and not 4 :) Common area is located at the ground floor, where there is a kitchen, dining room/study room, dance room/practice room, pool table, and 2 vending machines. Henderson is also located pretty close by to Resnik, where there's a lot of food options. One bad (ish) thing is that it's hard to make friends at Henderson because it's so small, so make sure you really put yourself out there during O-week. "

"This was a pretty nice dorm for maybe a freshman or sophomore. The kitchens are really dirty at times because people don't put their stuff away, but the rooms are pretty nice. Mine was super small, but I know someone else's room who was really big. The bathrooms are newly renovated and look great. Amenities are good, good location, and makerspace and piano rooms were pretty cool."

"I would 1000% recommend this dorm. I stayed here my freshman year during Covid, so I got a room to myself. It's suite-style, and theres even a lounge in your dorm room which is really big and nice. The bathrooms were a great size, and looked newly renovated. There were even two places to eat right in the dorm, which is also really nice. Overall, I would 1000% recommend this, and the only bad thing I would say about this place is that the laundry room was a bit dirty at times. This didn't really bother me though because there were like more than 10 washers and dryers in the building."

"This dorm is in a great location with campus just across the street. The doubles are fairly spacious. There is one shared bathroom, one laundry room, and one lounge area on each floor. E-Tower connects to Morewood Gardens which offer additional amenities such as music rooms and a makerspace. "

  • Fifth And Clyde at Carnegie Mellon University

Rated 5 / 5 stars by 1 Carnegie Mellon University student

"The dorm overall is very nice and the location is not very far from campus. There is a lot of study spaces and lounges. Every floor has a kitchen and a lounge plus three more study spaces. The first floor has a large common area and a large kitchen. There are two laundry rooms on every floor and each of them has two washers and two dryers. There is also an indoor bike storage room on the lower level. The semi-suite doubles are fairly spacious and the bathrooms are a good size. "
