UC Davis is a public research university located in Davis, California.

Student Housing manages 30+ residence halls in Segundo, Tercero, and Cuarto areas on the west side of the central campus. Segundo has 14 buildings, the Segundo Services Center, and the Segundo Dining Commons, housing 1,600 students. Tercero has 15 halls, Olive Hall, Tercero Services Center, and accommodates 3,500 students. Cuarto has three halls and the Cuarto Dining Commons and is home to around 1,400 students.

Regan Hall, the oldest dormitory on campus, offers a unique community experience with its small, tight-knit atmosphere. Despite being older, the dorms provide a charming and clean living space, with some students appreciating the quad setup for added personal space. The central location near facilities like Segundo DC, Memorial Union, and the gym is convenient for residents. However, the dorm's age shows in thin walls and occasional pest visitors like crickets. The gendered bathroom setup per floor and limited common areas have been points of contention, along with the lack of elevators in some buildings. While some students found the communal kitchens and study lounges beneficial, others criticized the lack of amenities and security concerns, such as poorly lit bike parking areas and theft incidents. Overall, Regan Hall's rustic charm and strong sense of community make it a recommendable choice for those who value a close community and proximity to campus amenities.
